ETHAN MITO, TEXAS A&amp;M ATHLETICS</figcaption></figure><p>The Texas A&amp;M soccer team salvaged a 2-2 draw with LSU on Friday night at Ellis Field thanks to midfielder Sydney Becerra’s free kick in the 81st minute. It was the first draw of the season for the Aggies (8-7-1, 3-4-1 SEC).</p><p>Becerra lined up outside the box and drilled the goal into the upper left corner out of the reach of LSU goalkeeper Audur Scheving.</p><p>A&amp;M took a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute on MaKhiya McDonald’s goal she snuck past Scheving from the right side of the box. Becerra and Grace Ivey were credited with assists.</p><p>The Aggies’ lead was short-lived though as they allowed two goals in less than 10 minutes that gave LSU a 2-1 lead. The Tigers (7-7-2, 2-5-1) tied the game at 1 in the 55th minute thanks to Sydney Chessman’s penalty kick. LSU took the lead in the 64th minute on a goal by Ava Galligan.</p><h2>People are also reading…</h2><p>LSU only took six shots on the night, including three on goal, but converted at a strong rate. A&amp;M took 24 shots, including nine on goal, but Scheving made seven saves.</p><p>A&amp;M enters the final week of the regular season next week with a road trip to Arkansas on Thursday.
