    EBI offering new skilled construction trades training for both high school students, adults

    The Enzweiler Building Institute (EBI) announces several new opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience and training in skilled construction trades beginning January 2025. These programs are designed to provide high school students and adult learners with the essential skills needed to succeed in a variety of in-demand trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and welding.

    High school Introduction to Skilled Trades Class

    Starting January 6, EBI will offer an 18-week Introduction to Skilled Trades class for high school students in grades 10 through 12. The course will be held Monday through Thursday, from 4 to 6 p.m at EBI’s Erlanger campus located at 2751 Circleport Drive, Erlanger, KY 41018. Students will have the opportunity to learn foundational skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and welding.

    The program also includes OSHA-10 and first-aid/CPR certifications, as well as the Home Builders Institute’s Pre-Apprenticeship Certification Training (HBI PACT-CORE certification). The cost for the program is $2,000, with a $500 deposit due at the time of application and the remaining balance due by the first day of class.

    Graduates of the program will receive priority acceptance into EBI’s adult programs upon high school graduation, providing a seamless pathway into further training and career advancement in the skilled trades. Parents and guardians can enroll their children in the program online .

    Adult Training Classes: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing 1

    EBI is also offering comprehensive training programs in Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing beginning on January 6 and running through July 10, 2025, from 6–9 p.m. These 26-week courses will equip students with the knowledge and skills to enter year two of their chosen trade in September 2025. In addition to trade-specific instruction, students will receive OSHA-10 and first-aid/CPR certifications.

    Tuition costs for the courses are as follows:

    • Electrical: $3,560
    • HVAC: $3,875
    • Plumbing: $3,875

    A $50 application fee is required, and tuition must be paid in full by the first day of class. Applications are available online. Enroll in the post-secondary evening adult program at buildinginstitute.com .
