NAVASOTA — The Navasota Rattlers took an early lead, but it was all Stafford thereafter as the Spartans rolled to a 28-7 victory in 12-4A DI play on Friday night. Stafford (4-3, 2-0) came up with an interception on the first play from scrimmage and scored a touchdown, but Navasota (2-5, 0-2) answered to take a 7-6 lead. The Rattlers converted a fourth-and-1 at the Stafford 49 as Navasota quarterback Jace Jablonski used a hard count to get the Spartans to jump offside. Jablonski then threw to Cam Ross who was behind the defense.
