SANFORD — Winning its sixth game in a row Friday, the Richmond Senior High School football team defeated Lee County High School.

Behind five first-half passing touchdowns by junior quarterback Domonic Tillman, a single-game career-high, the Raiders rolled 48-21.

Tillman connected with junior Jayden Hamilton twice, and threw one score to juniors Keonta Pegues and Daylyn Robinson, as well as senior Nicholas Griggs.

The scoring surge in the first half yielded a 34-7 lead at the intermission. Hamilton also had an interception in the closing seconds of the second quarter.

Senior Joseph Patterson added to the lead with his first career rushing touchdown early in the third quarter. That touchdown was set up by a fumble recovery by senior Zach Gardner.

Richmond’s final score early in the fourth quarter resulted when senior Joe Parsons forced a fumble and junior Jason Gainey recovered it in the end zone.

The Raiders (7-2, 5-0 SAC) begin their bye week now. The regular-season finale against Scotland High School will be played at home Nov. 1.
