Many former Jayhawk swimmers made their return to Robinson Natatorium to compete alongside the current team in this exhibition meet.Several Jayhawks set personal and season-best times at the event, including sophomore Ryan Johnston, who set a new personal best with a time of 26.88 seconds in the 50-yard butterfly. Johnston also set a season-best when she took first place in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 29.84 seconds.Following up on last week’s first-place finish in the 50-free against Illinois, junior Caroline Blake once again won the event, finishing with a time of 23.97 seconds. Senior Eleni Kotzamanis won her heat in the 50-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 26.70, which was an improvement of over two seconds from two weeks ago at the Sunflower Showdown. Junior Hailey Farrell took part in an impressive eight of the nine events on the day. She took home first place in both the 100-yard free and 100-yard butterfly. As for a highlight from one of the alumni, the loudest cheers of the day came for former Jayhawk swimmer and member of the Class of 1991, Brad Wells. Wells had a smile on his face the whole time while swimming two events on the day, including winning his heat in the 50-yard backstroke. The swim and dive Jayhawks will be back in action on Oct. 25 when they host a two-day meet against the University of South Dakota.</div></body>
