The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustang football team now sit at 2-6 after defeating the Winterset Huskies last night. Dallas Center-Grimes would take the lead in the first after a botched punt by the Huskies would roll into the endzone and would be recovered for a Mustang safety giving them the first points of the game. Dylan Lackland would put in a field goal to keep the Mustang lead at 5-0 in the first quarter. The second quarter would go back and forth, but the Huskies would put up the first touchdown of the game after Engle would throw an interception in the red zone. The Huskies would go for two and succeed to take a 8-5 lead with only 43 seconds left in the half. However, in an incredible fashion, the Mustangs would march the ball downfield and tie the game with a field goal to tie the game 8-8 at halftime.
