This is PLAIN TRUTH!! I was a psychologist on Rikers. My population was with inmates who were violent and seriously mentally ill. I'd worked in many prisons before. I was NEVER AFRAID OR THREATENED THERE. the officers had it much harder and aside from protecting ME, they had to keep the jail SAFE . I JUST RESIGNED & RETIRED. A WHILE LATER I RAN INTO WHAT I CALLED MY OFFICERS. They said you should come back, we miss you. I gave it some thought. I went to visit RIKERS to get the vibe of it and NOPE, I felt a weird Vibe. Between prayer and my vibe, the answer was NO WAY. I WON'T SAY WHAT I SAW, BUT, I WOULD GO UPSTATE FIRST. OR BACK TO VIRGINIA CORRECTIONS.IM, A WOMAN WHO IS TOO OLD AND SLOW FOR RIKERS... SO 😢😭 SAD.
