    State Police Seeking Public’s Assistance With Serious Parkway Crash

    OCEAN COUNTY – The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with a motor vehicle crash investigation that occurred on the Garden State Parkway, milepost 81 in South Toms River, Ocean County on Thursday, October 17.

    Based on an investigation at the scene, detectives determined that at approximately 3:23 p.m., a spare wheel became dislodged from an unknown vehicle traveling northbound on the Garden State Parkway. The spare wheel subsequently struck a motorist traveling southbound, causing serious injuries to the driver.

    Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the events prior to or following the crash is asked to contact Troop “D” Galloway Station Detective Bureau at 732-441-4500 ext. 5916.

    by "spare wheel" im assuming they are reffering to a truck / bus that has duel tires , the truck/bus driver had to notice if not at the time it came off when he reached his destination or the minimum the next day during his pre trip check. dont be a delta bravo..if its ur truck step.up!!

    A tire came off of someone's car last week on the southbound route 9 ramp to the parkway and went threw someone's windshield. Had to be medi-vac'd out. Crazy how such a thing happened twice in a week.
