No. 4 Michigan State dominated Windsor with a 5-0 shutout in an exhibition match at Munn Ice Arena. The Spartans managed only one goal in each of the first two periods against Windsor's starting goalie Nathan Torchia, who made 30 saves in the first 40 minutes. However, MSU exploded in the third period, netting three additional goals against backup goalie Max Donoso. Matt Basgall led the Spartans with one goal and two assists, while Daniel Russell scored twice, including a shorthanded goal. MSU will next face Canisius in a two-game road series.
