    Lakers Rookie Shares Postgame Exchange With Steph Curry After Warriors Blowout

    Los Angeles Lakers rookie Quincy Olivari had an unforgettable moment after his team's preseason finale against the Golden State Warriors.

    Following a thrilling game at the Chase Center in San Francisco, Olivari had the chance to meet his idol, Warriors star Steph Currym and share a heartfelt moment with him.

    The encounter was a dream come true for the young player, who had admired Curry since he was in sixth grade.

    Olivari approached Curry and revealed a special video that featured him as a child, expressing his admiration for Curry.

    In an interview , Olivari described the moment with excitement, saying, "I've liked him since I was in like 6th grade. I don't even know what to say. That's my favorite player ever."

    What made the encounter even more special was Curry's response. The two exchanged words, and Curry expressed his appreciation for Olivari's game, saying he's a big fan.

    The recognition deeply moved Olivari, who recounted how he used to sleep under a jersey signed by Curry.

    He shared, "I had his jersey. He signed it twice. I just wanted to be like him so bad."

    After their conversation, Curry gifted Olivari a pair of his autographed shoes, leaving the rookie beaming with joy. Olivari posted several photos sharing his love and respect for Curry with a caption that says, “dreams do come true.”

    Curry commented on Olivari's post saying, "Pleasure bro. Appreciate you being a real one and letting me know the history!!"

    Olivari was a standout performer during the game. He scored 22 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out two assists. He showcased his skills by shooting 50 percent from the field and hitting five of his nine attempts from three-point range.

    The Lakers will kick off their 2024-25 season on October 22, hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves in Los Angeles.
