    17-year-old arrested, caught wearing stolen Lululemon merchandise at downtown Detroit bus terminal

    DETROIT (WWJ) Michigan State Police arrested a teen girl caught stealing from a Lululemon in downtown Detroit.

    In a statement on X; Michigan State Police Second District said, on Friday (10/18) at 4:50 p.m., troopers received a call of retail fraud at the Lululemon on Woodward at Clifford Street.

    They were told the teen suspect ran away and went to the Rosa Parks bus terminal at Cass and Times Square, less than a quarter mile away from the store; according to State Police.

    When they caught up with the 17-year-old at the bus terminal, she was wearing the stolen items; State Police said.

    She was taken into custody on scene, processed at State Police Second District headquarters and released to her mother. A prosecutor is reviewing charges.

    Wow. The State Police will get involved if you steal from business owners downtown. Most business owners in Detroit neighborhoods don’t even consider retail fraud to be a reportable crime because police won’t come to take the report and even if they do, nothing will be done about it.
