    Ingredients

    • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup chocolate chunks (semi-sweet or dark)
    • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

    Directions

    • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
    • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
    • Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    • Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Fold in the chocolate chunks and nuts, if using.
    • Spread in Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
    • Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
    • Cool: Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
    • Serve: Enjoy your chocolate chunk blondies as a delicious treat on their own or with a scoop of ice cream!

    What do you think?

Eat this with vanilla icecream for an extra decadent treat.
