The team beat Princeton to advance to the state championship game back in July.Bridgeport finished the year in The Tournament of State Champions in Wilson, North Carolina this summer. The squad went 1-2 in the tournament with the win coming against Tennessee.Council member Jon Griffith read the proclamation honoring the team and their achievement.
