The ESPN "College GameDay" crew was in Austin, Texas on Saturday, previewing the Week 8 college football slate, with some big-time matchups on the horizon like No. 1 Texas versus No. 5 Georgia and No. 7 Alabama versus No. 11 Tennessee.

While the "College GameDay" panel, which includes Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee, Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and Nick Saban, were sharing their Week 8 predictions, the celebrity guest picker, Scottie Scheffler, had some interesting insight on a ranked matchup.

Scheffler dropped an upset pick during the show's final leg. He believes the Illinois Fighting Illini will defeat the defending champion Michigan Wolverines.

The No. 1 ranked golfer in the world credits his prediction to Michigan's struggles at the quarterback position.

"I think I like Illinois here," Scheffler said . "Michigan's had some injuries at QB and it's a little bit of a rebuilding year for them coming after the national championship."

The Fighting Illini head into the game as a 4-point underdog, per ESPN BET .

Illinois is currently 5-1 on the season, while Michigan stands at 4-2. The Fighting Illini suffered their only loss to Penn State and the Wolverines have fallen to Texas and Washington.

Michigan came into the year with Davis Warren as the starting quarterback. He started the first three games of the season for the Wolverines, leading Michigan to a 2-1 record.

During his time as the starter, Warren produced two touchdowns and six interceptions on 444 yards with a 66.7 completion percentage.

Following Warren's benching, Michigan's next option was dual-threat quarterback Alex Orji.

The run-first quarterback has recorded three touchdowns, one interception and 148 yards this season. He's also produced 124 yards on the ground.

After both quarterbacks failed to show consistency, veteran signal-caller Jack Tuttle got the chance to make his mark in the second half of the team's loss to Washington.

During that matchup, Tuttle recorded one touchdown and interception on 98 yards, with a 55.6 completion percentage.

For the first time this season, the Wolverines will start Tuttle in the Week 8 matchup against Illinois.
