The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect in a July double-homicide in Amite.

Deputies say Ryan Snow is being held on two counts of first degree murder and an obstruction of justice charge.

It was just before 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23 when Tangipahoa Parish 911 received a call from a women who said she had been shot at a mobile home in the 600 block of M.L.K. Street.

Law enforcement arrived and found Chrissy Jenkins and her boyfriend, Christopher Hedgewood, dead from gunshot wounds.

Crimestoppers of Tangipahoa Parish increased its reward for information to $10,000, but few tips came in. Then forensic evidence recently led to a break in the case that identified Snow as a suspect, the sheriff's office said. Deputies arrested him Friday.

"I am incredibly proud of our criminal investigations team for not letting up on their drive in this case," said Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Gerald Sticker. "While we are pleased to bring some level of justice to these victims and their families, the work is not done and our detectives will ensure full justice is served through our courts system."

The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Office at (985) 902-2008.
