Liam Payne's untimely death at the age of 31 has left two women reeling in shock. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, October 16, when he plummeted from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Prior to his devastating fall, Payne had been accompanied by Aldana Serrano, 31, and Lucila Goitea, 27, who are said to be "devastated" by the loss. They had checked into the Casa Sur Hotel around 11:30 a.m. and proceeded to Payne's suite.

However, Serrano and Goitea departed five hours later at 4 p. m., merely an hour before the fatal accident. According to reports, during his final moments, Payne was overheard quarreling with an unidentified woman in the hotel lobby concerning money matters, reports the Mirror .

His fall from the balcony resulted in a staggering 45-foot drop into the hotel's inner courtyard. Following the event, hotel reception staff urgently contacted 911 due to concerns regarding a man under the influence behaving aggressively.

A close friend shared with the Sunday Mirror: "They have been cooperative from the moment they found out Liam died. They have told police they did nothing wrong and left well before he fell. The two girls have vowed to continue help investigators and have said they will speak to police at any time."

In a conversation with The Sun, the family revealed: "Aldana and Lucila are absolutely devastated by what happened after they left the hotel. They co-operated with the police as soon as they were contacted and wanted to help with the investigation as much as possible."

"Police have the girls' phone numbers and they will contact them as and when they need if they feel they need any more information."

Both women hail from the downtown area of Buenos Aires. Police had interrogated five individuals, two of whom were the women last seen with Liam for a "reconstruction of his last hours."

A local reporter on an Argentinian TV show stated: "He was with two women in his room where there was access to drugs. I'm not going to say their surnames. "[Woman A] gave a statement last night and [Woman B] has just finished hers. " Prosecutors, in their initial official statement, confirmed they had questioned five witnesses, two being women and three hotel employees, and verified that Liam had separate injuries. In the detailed statement, they also confirmed the removal of "several substances" from Liam's room, which they believe would indicate he had taken drugs before falling to his death from a third-floor hotel balcony.

It remains unclear who the police suspect could have provided him with the drugs. A forensic report revealed that Liam had sustained 25 injuries due to his devastating fall. The experts noted that the cranioencephalic injuries were severe enough to cause death, with internal and external bleeding in the skull, chest, abdomen, and limbs contributing to the cause of death.

Upon examining his hands, the forensic team found no defensive wounds, indicating that all injuries were life-threatening and occurred simultaneously. They also found no evidence suggesting the involvement of a third party.
