Karam reported on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, that a Federal Grand Jury returned an indictment against Anthony C. Donnora, Jr., 79, of Forkston Township, Pennsylvania, on the charges of federal drug trafficking and firearms offenses.</p><p>According to information unsealed in Tuesday’s indictment, charges Donnora with Distribution of Fentanyl; Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl; Maintaining a Drug Involved Premise; Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of Drug Trafficking; and Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition by a Prohibited Person.</p><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=3qJJlp_0wDxV8Fh00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=3qJJlp_0wDxV8Fh00" width="240" height="210" ></figure><p>The indictment alleges that beginning on August 6, 2021, and lasting through February 27, 2024, Donnora distributed fentanyl powder and fentanyl pills from his Forkston Township residence and business while in possession of firearms, knowing that he was prohibited from possessing firearms because of prior felony convictions. During that time, Donnora also utilized his residence and business to store and repackage illicit narcotics for distribution.</p><p>Donnora is also facing state charges filed with the Wyoming County Court of Common Pleas in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania.</p><p>The charges stem from a joint investigation by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Wyoming County District Attorney’s Office, and the Tunkhannock Borough Police Department.</p><p><i>“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”</i></p></div></body>
