The game kicked off dramatically when DGSG forced a fumble on the Miners' first drive, only to see their momentum halted as Kale Annis intercepted a pass from Tyce Smith.This turnover proved costly for the Bearcats, as Centerville capitalized on the opportunity. The Miners marched down the field, and Luke Kelley connected with a wide-open Kale Annis to get on the scoreboard first. The Bearcats quickly retaliated with Tyce Smith finding Brody Ridgeway in the end zone. Centerville wasted no time extending their lead, with Kelley taking a pitch and returning the kickoff for another touchdown. Smith, under pressure, scrambled out of the pocket and scored a touchdown for the Bearcats, keeping them in the game.Kelley continued to dominate, finding Caden Olson, who broke a tackle, used a stiff arm, and strolled into the end zone.
