California breweries once again showcased their craft beer prowess at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival (GABF), held in Denver, Colorado. This prestigious annual event brings together breweries from across the nation to compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals across a variety of beer styles.

Among the standout winners from California, several breweries earned top honors in key categories, underscoring the state's reputation as a craft beer hotspot. Here are the California highlights from this year’s competition:

• Trademark Brewing in Long Beach won the silver medal in the American Fruit Beer category for their flavorful creation, A La Playa.
• Far Field Beer Co. from Hawthorne took home the gold medal in the Herb and Spice Beer category with their well-balanced brew, Two Wheeler.
• Pizza Port San Clemente claimed the gold medal in the Coffee Stout or Porter category for their robust and rich beer, Dusk Til Dawn.
• Hop Dogma Brewing Co. of Half Moon Bay earned the silver medal in the same category with their cleverly named Venti is Large.
• Green Cheek Beer Co. from Orange won silver in the Session India Pale Ale category for Josh’s New Tiny Shoes, while their Oceanside location struck gold in the Strong Porter category for Jeff’s Baltic Porter.
• June Lake Brewing earned bronze in the Session India Pale Ale category for their refreshing Mini Ramp Session IPA.
