However, HSU was able to turn them over on downs to earn the victory.Hardin-Simmons scored first on a short Kyle Brown to Brock Gibson touchdown toss in the first quarter, but McMurry answered with a Jess Hoel quarterback keeper in the second. The extra point was blocked, and HSU led 7-6 at the half.The Cowboys extended the lead to 10-6 and then 17-6 before McMurry rallied late. HSU improves to 6-0 overall and is 2-0 on conference play.
