Work is set to begin on October 22, 2024.This extensive project is being funded by the North Carolina FY 2023 State Budget, with the town receiving strong support from Senator Brent Jackson and Representative Chris Humphries. Both legislators championed Maysville’s infrastructure needs during the budget process, ensuring the town could secure the necessary funding.In addition, the Maysville Board of Commissioners has committed over $300,000 of town funds to ensure the project is fully completed and meets all necessary standards. This financial commitment demonstrates the Board’s dedication to seeing this vital infrastructure improvement cross the finish line.“This is a pivotal moment for Maysville,” said Mayor Wayne Sayland. “We couldn’t make these improvements without the help of our state legislators who believed in Maysville and ensured we had the funding to move forward.
