Luther hosted Macalester College and the Scots won the dual meet by a final of 168-131. This was the first time since 2022 these two teams had faced each other in the pool and fifth time in a series that started in 1985.The Norse posted six first place finishes. Ella Rowley and Mia Prater both won two events. Rowley won the one-meter (6 dives) and three-meter (6 dives) competitions. She tallied (224.60) on the one-meter board and (234.30) on the three-meter. Prater touched the wall first in the 50 freestyle (24.70) and 100 freestyle (54.83). Lillian McRoberts won the 200 freestyle (2:03.06) and the 200 freestyle relay foursome of Prater, Nev Nelson, Cassie Rounds and Annabelle Pollock finished the night with a first place finish (1:40.36).Pollock, McRoberts and Ren Talerico all posted two second place finishes each. Pollock was the runner-up in the 100 freestyle (56.87) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.74). McRoberts finished second in the 200 backstroke (2:19.25) and the 200 IM (2:19.71). Talerico was second in the 200 butterfly (2:18.23) and the 200 breaststroke (2:44.56).Second place finishes were also posted by Prater in the 100 backstroke (1:02.03), Elise Ilsley on the one-meter board (200.70), and Maia Bumgardner in the 500 freestyle (5:48.72). The 200 medley relay comprised of McRoberts, Talerico, Nelson and Rounds started the evening with a runner-up finish clocked at (1:56.31).The Norse will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 when they will compete at the Cows, Colleges and Contentment Invite hosted by St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn.
