During the surveillance, Barham observed the detectives and began following them as they left in an unmarked vehicle. While traveling on Hulton Road near Iowa Street, detectives reported hearing gunfire and seeing muzzle flashes from Barham’s vehicle. </p><p> The Allegheny County Police General Investigations Unit was called to investigate further.
