Water main break collapses part of Spring Grove Avenue in Camp Washington

A water main break on Spring Grove Avenue in Camp Washington caused part of the roadway to collapse in on itself, Cincinnati police said.

The water main break happened around 2 a.m. in the 2400 block of Spring Grove Avenue at the intersection of Draper Street. The water main break collapsed part of the street and partially shut down traffic to the Western Hill Viaduct, police said.

Crews from Greater Cincinnati Water Works and police are on the scene to investigate the cause of the break and to assist with traffic control while performing emergency repairs.
