Shedeur Sanders' Reaction to Injured Colorado Teammate Goes Viral

Coming off a difficult loss to Kansas State in Week 6, which dropped the Buffaloes to 4-2 and may have cost them a shot at the college football playoffs, the mission was to right the ship against Arizona on Saturday in Tucson.

That mission was accomplished, with ease, as Colorado won in a walk, 34-7, giving them five wins for the season, making them one win from becoming bowl-eligible and pushing them past last season's four-win total.

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders put up a businesslike performance, completing 23 of his 33 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns, with two interceptions as well. He also accounted for a third touchdown on a six-yard run.

But it was an assist from Sanders that drew significant attention on Saturday. In the first quarter of the game, leading, 6-0, with 12:37 to play, tight end Sam Hart--who has only one reception but is a reliable blocker--suffered an injury to his right leg and was unable to put pressure on his foot.

That's where Sanders stepped in an offered his help. Hart put his arm around his quarterback's shoulders and gingerly limped off the field.

The Twitter/X account "We Coming" posted a video of the interaction, and wrote: "Shedeur Sanders helping Colorado TE Sam Hart off the field after he got injured."

it was not one of Sanders' more dazzling plays on the day, but the post drew more than 113,000 views.

After righting the ship against Arizona, Sanders and Colorado next has the surprising Cincinnati Bearcats at home on Oct. 26. Kickoff for that one wil come at 10:15 p.m. EST.
