Police are investigating a shooting that left three people injured in Northwest, D.C. overnight Sunday.According to a Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, the shooting was reported just before 2 a.m. on the 2200 block of 8 Street. The location appears to be in the area of Howard University.When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two women and a man suffering from gunshot wounds.Police said all three shooting victims were conscious and breathing and were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Their conditions are currently stable.Howard University officials told 7News that the victims were not students. They also said it is unknown if they were even alumni, given this weekend's homecoming festivities at and around the campus.University officials added that celebrations had ended way before the time of the shooting.A potential suspect or suspects has not been identified in this case.This is an ongoing investigation.</div></body>
