According to the recent Xbox Partner Showcase, the official Phasmophobia console release date is October 29. That not only goes for the Xbox Series X and S but for PlayStation 5 as well. Those who own a PS VR2 can have a truly immersive experience by putting themselves closer to the ghosts and demons that haunt the maps. In addition to the renowned indie horror game arriving on consoles later this month, crossplay will be available. This means all the paranormal investigators can track down malevolent entities together no matter the system they're playing on.

The Horror Hit's Current State

Since Phasmophobia's release on September 18, 2020, Kinetic Games has unleashed loads of improvements and even complete overhauls. In its current state, there are 24 types of ghosts to discover and track down, each with its own quirks and dangers. This is exactly double the number of ghosts the game had during launch. The number of maps has gradually increased to 13 with the dark and dreary Point Hope being the latest addition. The string of patches and updates throughout the game's current lifetime have also added cursed objects, new types of equipment, achievements, microphone tracking, and more.
