Auburn and Kentucky are set to meet in a matchup of teams whose seasons haven’t quite gone according to plan, despite some close calls in big matchups.

Both teams are coming off a road matchup, Auburn taking on a ranked Missouri team and Kentucky taking on a desperate Florida team. That could provide a slight edge for the Wildcats, who will be at home.

According to lines listed by FanDuel, Kentucky will open as a 2.5-point favorite over Auburn, while the over/under point total for the contest has been set at 42.5 points.

That sets the expectation for the game: It should be a fairly close contest. But with Kentucky having the home field advantage, Vegas likes the Wildcats by a narrow margin.

How to watch Auburn vs. Kentucky

    Time: 7:45 p.m. ET
Channel: SEC Network / Fubo TV (Streaming)
Location: Lexington, KY — Kroger Field

Auburn is coming off a brutal stretch in which it just faced three straight ranked opponents. It’s now in the final game of a three-game road stretch, which is difficult for any team.

The Tigers have really struggled with turnovers, as quarterback Payton Thorne has been a bit up and down all year and the defense hasn’t been overly opportunistic.

If Auburn’s going to make it a game against Kentucky it’ll need a much better showing offensively. That could be difficult against a very, very good defense.

Defensive tackle Deone Walker really sets the tone for the Wildcats, and that’s the guy to watch in this matchup. He has the potential to completely wreck the game from the start putting pressure on the Auburn quarterbacks.

But the Wildcats have had their own struggles offensively. So this could be a low-scoring contest.

In any case, the two teams will meet at 7:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, with a broadcast on the SEC Network.
