In pool play, Midland lost to MP Sacred Heart 20-25, 22-25, and then beat Grayling 25-20, 25-19. In the third match, Midland lost in rematch to McBain 19-25, 26-27 going 1-2 to be seeded 1st in silver bracket.In the silver bracket semi-final, the Chemics faced McBain NMC, beating them 25-11, 25-20. In the finals, Chemics were victorious over Boyne City in 2 games, 25-22, 25-17.Offensive performance stats for the tournament were: Nicole Giardina added 34 kills, 18 digs, while Avery Stewart had 29 kills; teammate Brooke Russell pounded 19 kills, and 7 blocks. Emmalea TerBurgh had 12 kills, 6 aces, 6 blocks; Lila Rekeweg contributed 10 kills, 3 aces.Payton Palmer contributed 91 setting assists, 5 kills, 5 aces, 10 digs.Stats for the defensive back court, Brigid O’Malley had 45 digs, 4 assists, while Bella Kroll added 25 digs. Rhyannah Nunamaker chipped in 14 digs.Chemic season record is now 25-10. The MHSAA district tournament does not start until the week of November 4th so the team will have scrimmages at Mt. Morris October 30th and Grand Blanc tournament Saturday November 2. </div></body>
