Warm and Dry Weather Expected in Southern California Through Midweek; Lows May Dip into 40s

Southern California will experience continued warm and dry conditions through the middle of next week, with the inland areas seeing the highest temperatures. Clear skies and lighter winds will dominate, with morning lows in the valleys dipping into the 40s, followed by afternoon highs ranging from the 70s near the coast to the mid-80s in the valleys and deserts.

A gradual warming trend is expected to continue through Wednesday, with temperatures increasing by 5 to 10 degrees above normal in most areas. Although the marine layer may return later in the week, it is expected to be patchy, potentially bringing fog to coastal areas.

Forecasts for the latter half of the week are uncertain, as some models suggest a trough may move inland by Friday, bringing cooler temperatures. However, other predictions keep the ridge in place, leading to warmer weather. Coastal residents should expect onshore flow to return later in the week, potentially bringing more cloud cover and cooler conditions.
