    Annual Turkish festival kicks off in DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Have you ever wanted to experience the Turkish culture and all it offers? Well, look no further.

    Just a few blocks from the White House on 3rd and 6th streets on Pennsylvania Ave. in Northwest D.C., the annual Turkish Festival 2024 is kicking off on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

    The festival will feature dance, food, music, a bazaar and activities for kids.

    The event started in 2003 and since 2008, it has hosted more than 20,000 people every year.
