Kyle Busch Doesn't Answer Reporter's Question Because It Would Be Inappropriate

Kyle Busch didn't make the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. Despite a subpar season by the two-time champion's standards, he's still competing for something important. The 39-year-old is racing for history and trying to extend his record streak of winning at least one race a year to 20 consecutive seasons.

Unsurprisingly, every Sunday he doesn't win a race, that question is always one of the first asked at the following weekend's session with the media. A reporter questioned the Richard Childress Racing driver on the subject in Saturday's media availability and he willingly answered.

However, there was one question the driver wasn't willing to talk about when asked if he had an idea of what needed to change for the team in 2025 in order to improve.

"A little bit," Busch said . "I mean it's been talked about, but I'm not real sure if it's appropriate for this room. So we talk all the time. We talk every week. It's not just me and Randall talking. It's Richard being involved. It's Keith being involved. Justin Alexander being involved.

"There's some new key players that come in here in a few weeks — maybe January 1st. I don't know when they come in. But that will hopefully be able to bring us some newer, fresher ideas that will give us some opportunities to have faster race cars in '25."

Kyle Busch not answering questions has rarely been a thing. He almost always has something to say.

On Saturday in Las Vegas, he didn't want to go into the details of what RCR and his No. 8 team are doing behind the scenes in planning for 2025 for obvious reasons. But based on what he did say, Rowdy fans should be hopeful that there are at least some changes coming.
