'Rowdy 'Dogs Are the Life of the Party When Doggie Day Care Groups Pups by Energy Level

Unless you already have friends with dogs, finding ways to socialize a new pup can be challenging. That's where services like doggie daycares come in. Not only will your dog be safe and cared for while you're at work or otherwise occupied, but they'll also have the chance to interact with a lot of other dogs on a regular basis. And in the process, your dog can make some new friends, so it really is a win/win if it's in the budget.

In some cases, opposites attract, but in others, it's far better to find someone who matches your energy, and that's so true when it comes to dogs. So it's no wonder that when one doggie daycare applied that philosophy to the pups in their care, they had some wild results getting all the party animals together in one place!

Knoxville, Tennessee doggie daycare The Bark shared what their dog playgroups look like in a video on TikTok, and it ranges from pure serenity to complete insanity. They decided to split the dogs up based on energy level, that way those who want to chill can be in a calm environment, while those who are ready to party can do just that.

The difference between the two groups is stark , y'all. The calm group is very relaxed and reserved, with dogs quietly lounging around on furniture, walking around, and checking each other out.

Then, we go to the rowdy group outside, and it's basically mass chaos. They're all having a great time, though, so that's definitely what matters (and yes, this is where my dog would go).

In the comments, the daycare specified that dogs can move from group to group depending on where their mood is at, which makes sense. After all that partying, there's no doubt some of them are ready to be chill for awhile!

Should Dogs Play With Dogs Who Share Their Energy Level?

Of course, in plenty of cases, there are dogs out there who love hanging out with other dogs who are nothing like them. But when it comes to making new friends, many experts will suggest pairing up dogs based on energy level the way this daycare did.

For an ideal friendship match, one dog trainer recommends finding your dog a BFF with a similar energy level, play style, and temperament. It can also help to find a dog of a similar age (or at least, similar enough that a senior dog isn't feeling pressured to keep up with an energetic puppy).

With how important proper socialization is, this is good advice to take. And who knows? Maybe you'll make some human friends along the way, too.
