It marked the first meeting between the teams in program history following the addition of Shorter to the Conference Carolinas this year. Meanwhile, the Hawks drop to 2-10-1 overall behind a 1-8-1 mark in conference action.The Trojans scored in the opening minutes of the first half, as sophomore Babacar Fall crossed a ball into the box before senior Guilherme Semola netted a goal in the sixth minute to take a 1-0 edge. At the 23:12 mark, freshman Nicolas Arze-Ynsua played a through ball to Fall, who curled a shot inside the right post to increase the lead to 2-0. Mount Olive stretched the advantage to 3-0 in the 37th minute after a corner kick fell into the box before senior Greg Boko scored to the bottom-left corner off a short pass by junior Jacques Sousa. At the break, UMO held a 15-3 lead in total shots with a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.In the second half, the Trojans took a 4-0 advantage in the 56th minute as Semola scored his second goal of the game off an assist by Fall. Mount Olive would add a final insurance goal at the 85:35 mark as senior Allen Meza laced a shot into the bottom-left corner of the net off a throw-in from sophomore Tristan Sheppert to secure a 5-0 win.Senior goalkeeper Axel Engren earned the victory after collecting one save in 57-plus minutes while fellow senior Michael Deleo played the final 32:48 and registered one stop.The Trojans out-shot the Hawks by a 27-5 margin while finishing with a 7-2 lead in corner kicks.Mount Olive returns to divisional play on Tuesday, Oct. 22, when it travels to face Chowan at 3:30 p.m.</div></body>
