Hopefully this will put a end too the worst idea the city of Galveston he's ever came up with! One year it took me 50 mins to get to seawall from downtown Houston. I lived out on west end of the island. It took me 3 hrs to get from 61st too Spanish Grant, all because of this event going on. The city shuts down the only 2 routes going west for the stupid bike race, even the Bluewater highway bridge going too Surfside! What a joke. Moody Gardens has a lot of control of it and won't loose it for the sake of the money flow it brings them a few times of year. What happen too them being a Non-profit organization? Huh Moody Gardens?
