Check your fridge! A tasty dip sold at Lunds and Byerlys stores is being pulled from shelves in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas in Minnesota due to “potential mold growth contamination,” the FDA recently reported.

This recall pertains to the grocery store’s Lone Star Dip, which is made with cream cheese, salsa, tarragon, and lemon juice. The potential for mold growth could pose a risk to the health of consumers. Find all the details on the recall—including what to do if you have a container of the recalled dip—below.

Lunds and Byerlys Lone Star Dip Recalll

About 500 containers of Lunds and Byerlys Lone Star dip have been recalled around the Twin Cities, Minnesota. The 12 oz. containers have UPC codes of 18169-74197 and the impacted products are marked with "Best By" dates of 10-15-24 and 10-17-24.

Luckily, despite the concern over mold growth, no illnesses have been reported so far. However, it's important to take recalls like this seriously in order to keep you and your family healthy and safe.

"If a customer recently purchased the impacted product, they are encouraged to return it to any Lunds & Byerlys for a full refund (no receipt required) or destroy the product immediately," the company wrote in a statement.

Other recent recalls include cantaloupes and eggs.

Anyone wonder why our food is no longer safe, and recalls are constant?Republicans have a LONG history of voting against food safety practices. A HUGE cut was in 2011 when the Republican controlled house said that all the cuts were fine because, according to them, "our food is "99% safe anyway". Then in 2023 the house controlled Republicans again slashed funding to the food safety and inspection services. As well as cut rules that we had in place to be able to trace where our food actually comes from. I don't support either side, they're both evil. But it truly is pathetic that these people get voted in repeatedly and then the people that vote for them turn a blind eye and scream "no they wouldn't do that" When you point out facts about what they infact did..The voters are ultimately responsible for this, you owe it to yourselves and your children/grands to at least look it up! Simply google Republicans cut food safety measures and you'll find hundreds of examples going back years!

Since these kinds of cases and issues, keep on popping up, all around this country. I must say, that the FDA is on their J.O.B. and we all should be grateful. I am personally hoping, that they keep on pulling whatever contaminated foods, that are out there. I also personally haven't gotten sick, but I truly do pray for anyone, that has been affected and I also hope that under these circumstances, that they do get better with time, and I want to extend my best wishes to whomever.
