Experts often liken a dog’s emotional intelligence to a two-year-old. So, it shouldn’t be surprising that many enjoy playing with objects designed for this age group. Between the bright colors, multiple textures, and intriguing sounds, they are equally excited for playtime to begin.

This adorable Border Collie and her Italian Greyhound sister enjoy showing their tiny human brother the best way to use his new toys. It’s even more impressive that they understand precisely what to do.

Check out their overflowing happiness in this video shared on October 8:

What fun! These well-mannered dogs took turns playing with the new toys, which was one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen! Cedar and Sprinkle’s brother Cole might not be interested in checking them out yet, but they act as quality control to ensure everything functions as it should. This beautiful Border Colie’s excitement shows that everything has passed her stringent safety standards, and the fun meter is off the charts for this Italian Greyhound ! While Brook (@ brookethomo ) may not have purchased them for her four-legged children, seeing all your kids playing together is always lovely. Even after the baby outgrows them, these pups may want to keep using them, making whatever they cost a terrific value!

Why Are Some Dogs Drawn to Baby Toys?

Dog Meets Baby reports pups are drawn to baby toys for a few reasons. One might simply be that they enjoy new toys, and some baby items look comparable to theirs. Similar to human children, another factor might be that they’re getting less attention than they are used to, so they do things that help us notice them. It can be a sign that we should give our four-legged kids a bit of undivided attention. It’s also possible that these toys smell like their new sibling, which they find pleasing.

People were pleased to see these furry siblings playing nicely together. One person responded, “This is a great advertisement for the durability of that water toy!” That’s for sure! Viewer @vincenzo_the_iggy remarked, “It‘s always what isn’t for them that is the most interesting.” That’s often true for humans and animals. Another person pointed out, “Cole’s just chilling, knowing he’s got the best siblings, checking to ensure all toys are up to his standard.” They will undoubtedly help him have an even better time using them.

Thankfully, research continues to show that children who are raised with dogs have more robust immune systems than those who are not. So maybe these pups aren’t just playing for fun; perhaps they know they’re also helping to make their little brother even healthier.
