A new restaurant has opened in Bellefontaine, Ohio

A new restaurant has come to downtown Bellefontaine.

Are you looking for a place to get brunch? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out the new restaurant The Morning Riot, which is located in Bellefontaine at 130 S Main St. According to the restaurant's social media account, The Morning Riot opened for business earlier this month.

The restaurant's menu includes items like Woke Up Feeling Dangerous (which consists of a red pepper bagel with roasted chicken, melted sharp cheddar, red onions, and Riot sauce), spicy pork banh mi (which comes with pickled veggies, diced tomatoes, cucumber, cilantro, feta, candied jalapenos, Riot sauce, pesto, and spicy chili onion crisp; you can swap the pork with chicken and the bread with basmati rice), classic grilled cheese (the cheese is a blend of extra sharp and mild cheddar), Cheezilla (which is a grilled sandwich with sharp cheddar, creamy brie, Swiss, apple slices, and onion chutney), hearty Moroccan vegetable soup (which has potatoes, chickpeas, fire-roasted tomatoes, green beans, celery, carrots, onions, garlic, warm spices, and a bit of lemon), apple & cheddar soup, and more.

If you have room for something sweet, the restaurant offers chocolate croissants and cinnamon roll croissants with cream cheese frosting. If you want something to drink, the menu includes coffee, house-made chai tea, and hot chocolate.

You just have to try it! There hasn’t been anything I don’t like (I have tried a few things ) however my solid fave seems to be the “Woke Up Feeling Dangerous” sandwich literal flavor explosion in your mouth hole! plus those dang roasted veggies I could eat them every day! Oh and the people are pretty dang alright too!!!

I am so glad this is here! It allows me to get a delicious treat before working a Saturday. My only wishes are to toast the bagel longer, and to provide larger sizes of iced coffee. (It was so good, I wanted more of it.) --But otherwise totally what we needed downtown. I will be coming back for sure.

The new restaurant is open 5 days a week, Tuesday to Saturday from 7 AM to 2 PM. It's closed on Sundays and Mondays.
