The Huskers defeated No. 13 Memphis, 4,697-4,691 but fell to No. 12 Navy, 4,699-4,697. The Big Red (5-2) took two of the top five spots overall. Junior Emma Rhode placed first with an aggregate score of 1,182, while freshman Maddy Moyer earned runner-up honors with a mark of 1,180. “It was a tough day across the board for all three teams,” said Coach Richard Clark. “It was fun to watch Maddy fire a new PR in smallbore and follow it up with her season high in air rifle. Emma was also fun to watch today with the way she worked through the struggles leading the team in both guns. While it is not the number we wanted, nor are capable of, we are seeing lots of good things in spurts. We’ll get back to work this week and continue our work.”Rhode placed third in the air rifle with a score of 593, while Moyer followed in fifth place with a season-high mark of 593. Grace Corbett (seventh, 590), Alivia Perkins (ninth, 589), Camillla Johannessen (13th, 588) and Riley Dunn (16th, 586) finished out the lineup for the NU.Nebraska grabbed two of the top five spots in the smallbore, with Rhode taking second with a score of 588. Moyer followed by placing third with a personal-best score of 587. Dunn (10th, 581), Johannessen (12th, 575), Perkins (14th, 575), and Corbett (22nd, 562) rounded out the lineup for the Huskers in the smallbore.The Big Red will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, to face off against No. 8 TCU on Saturday, Nov. 2.
