Roseburg, OR – Detectives from the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested Glenn Gearhart, 50, of Bell Gardens, California, following a high-speed pursuit and the discovery of a large cache of drugs and firearms. The investigation into Gearhart, a convicted felon with a history of violent crimes, had revealed his involvement in significant drug trafficking activities in the greater Roseburg area.
On October 18, 2024, DINT detectives obtained a search warrant for Gearhart and his residence on Page Road in Winchester, following suspicions of drug trafficking and illegal firearms possession. As detectives prepared to execute the warrant, they located Gearhart driving a Jeep Cherokee and attempted a high-risk traffic stop with assistance from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Gearhart refused to stop, leading deputies on a pursuit through north Roseburg, reaching speeds through Stewart Parkway, Edenbower Blvd, and Aviation Drive. The chase came to an end when Gearhart struck a curb and sideswiped a vehicle near the intersection of NE Stephens St and Garden Valley. Law enforcement surrounded Gearhart, and after initial resistance, he was taken into custody without further incident.
A search of Gearhart's vehicle revealed multiple firearms, including a Glock .40 caliber handgun (stolen from Los Angeles), an illegal short barrel shotgun, an AR-15, and large amounts of cash. Detectives also searched the residence, detaining Hannah Fallert, 34, and discovering over 1.3 pounds of fentanyl, 1.6 pounds of methamphetamine, cocaine, and other controlled substances.
Gearhart now faces multiple charges, including:
Attempt to Elude Police Officer
Recklessly Endangering Another Person
Unlawful Possession, Manufacture, and Delivery of Controlled Substances (Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Cocaine)
Felon in Possession of a Firearm (4 counts)
Theft by Receiving (Stolen Firearm)
Unlawful Possession of a Short Barrel Firearm
Hannah Fallert was also arrested and charged with possession and delivery of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a school. Authorities anticipate additional arrests as the investigation continues, with Gearhart’s drug distribution potentially linked to an ongoing overdose death investigation.
The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) works to dismantle drug trafficking organizations using a multi-agency, intelligence-driven approach and is supported by the Oregon-Idaho High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA).
