Cleveland Browns had their fifth straight loss become official in Week 7 at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a game where they saw starting quarterback Deshaun Watson go down for the season with an injury as well. Things were just very bad all around.

When Watson went down with what is said to be an Achilles injury , some of the fans’ reactions to the situation bothered the players of the Cleveland Browns.

“It was hard with the reaction the fans gave. Whether it is an opponent who went down or one of our own, we don’t boo guys that are injured on the field,” Garrett said after the 21-14 loss. “Especially to the extent that the cart comes out. We should be ashamed of ourselves as Browns and us as fans to boo anyone and their downfall.”

It was a powerful speech that Garrett gave and you can watch it yourself above. Garrett went on to point out that no matter what Watson has done off the field, there should be no one cheering for his injury on the field.

The star pass rusher is a fan favorite and the best player on the team, so his words have a chance to stick with teams. No matter your feelings about Watson, we shouldn’t be rooting for him to be injured or cheering for his injury.

"I don't think it's ever OK to cheer when someone's injured,” Kevin Stefanski said. “I'm sure it's not every person in the building doing that, but yeah, it's disappointing."

The Browns turned to second-year quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson for much of the game until Jameis Winston relieved DTR following two interceptions thrown and a finger injury obtained .

Cleveland is now 1-6 the season and has likely lost their starting quarterback for the year. If it isn’t mock draft time yet for fans, we will be there very soon.

With Watson down, who will you blame next? There's eleven men that play on that field each week along with coaches, support staff, and administrators - why does Watson shoulder the blame? If he were winning, none of these negative comments would be posted. I understand that everyone wants to root for a winner, but soldiers preparing for battle are trained and disciplined for that conflict. I've read a couple of comments attributed to the coaching staff being responsible. You need receivers who can catch the football, a line that can hold off the defense protecting the QB, and good coaches who prepare their team for competition. Watson is no one man team!

The browns brought this on when they gave the sexual predator a record GUARANTEED contract.
