Irvine: Pedestrian In Lanes Struck, Killed By Tesla

10.19.2024 | 8:53 PM | IRVINE – A topless woman who was walking in lanes was struck and killed by a motorist in a Tesla, Saturday night.

Callers reported a topless woman running lanes on the southbound I-5 Freeway north of Culver Avenue around 8:53 PM.

While officers were still responding to the scene additional callers reported that a white Tesla Model X had collided with the woman.

Upon arrival officers located the woman down in lanes along with the Tesla stopped in lanes with major damage to its windshield.

Medics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased on scene.

The occupants of the Tesla remained on scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

It remains unclear why the woman was running lanes.
