The (RV) George Washington University water polo team (10-6, 6-1 MAWPC) took down Johns Hopkins (9-15, 2-5 MAWPC), 14-12, on Sunday afternoon in Baltimore. GW built an early lead, finishing the first quarter up 4-1 and going into the half at 8-2. Johns Hopkins, however, came storming back in the second half, cutting into GW's lead and getting as close as 9-8 in the third quarter, but the Revolutionaries managed to stay ahead for the entire second half. Big fourth-quarter goals from Yam Kabakov, Adonis Vlassis and Antonio Florena helped create separation and clinch the GW win.
