With the win, UNH clinches a spot in the America East Women's Soccer Championship tournament.</p><p>Redshirt junior captain Sally Rainey (West Lebanon, N.H.) made two saves to secure the clean sheet, while Bryant goalkeeper Selena Negron tallied nine saves.</p><p>The Wildcats improve to 10-3-1 on the season and 5-1 in the America East, while Bryant Falls to 5-7-3 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.</p><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=27dvH4_0wEypClu00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=27dvH4_0wEypClu00" width="852" height="755" ><ul><li>UNH will travel to face UMBC on Sunday, Oct. 27. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. at Retriever Soccer Park.</li></ul><ul><li>With 12:58 remaining in the first half, Meghan Guarente (Sewell, N.J.) fired a shot from just outside the 18-yard box, but Negron narrowly deflected it, keeping the score tied 0-0 going into the half.</li><li>Early in the second half, the Wildcats appeared to open the scoring when a free kick from Elaina Grenz (River Edge, N.J.) found Megan Logue (Oak Hills, Calif.), but the goal was disallowed for offside.</li><li>In the 66th minute, Maier secured the winning goal with a header off a cross from Hewlett, who found space on the left wing and delivered the ball into the box. Maier met it perfectly, heading it into the back corner of the net.</li></ul><ul><li>Maier scored her second goal of the season.</li><li>Hewlett recorded her second assist of the season.</li><li>Rainey earned her league-leading ninth shutout of the season.</li><li>UNH had a 21-6 shot advantage, including 10-2 shots on goal.</li><li>The Cat's had a 10-0 margin in corner kicks.</li></ul><ul><li>The Wildcats now have a 4-0-1 lifetime record vs Bryant</li></ul></div></body>
