The New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth is calling on the community's help when it comes to helping them carve one thousand pumpkins! These carved gourds will be the centerpiece of their Night of a Thousand Faces event. This annual occasion is a festive celebration that spans two nights and invites attendees to walk through their nature trail will be lit up by hundreds of pumpkin eyes glittering in the blackness of the night.

"Our nature trail will come alive with 1,000 lit-up pumpkins, each carved into masterpieces!" Explains The New England Wildlife Center. "Along with tasty treats, hospital tours, and animal presentations - this is an event you won't want to miss!"

The New England Wildlife Center runs two non-profit wildlife veterinary hospitals and education centers located in Massachusetts. They treat sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. Events such as their Annual Night Of a Thousand Faces help them raise money to continue doing the great work they do for our community's wildlife.

In preparation for the Night Of a Thousand Faces event, the New England Wildlife Center is seeking volunteers to help them carve one thousand jack-o-lanterns. They invite the community to join them throughout the week at their Weymouth hospital for open pumpkin carving on the following dates and times:

    • Tuesday, October 22nd from 10 am - 6 pm
    • Wednesday, October 23rd from 10 am - 5:30 pm
    • Thursday, October 24th from 10 am - 6 pm

Whether you have time to swing by and volunteer your time towards carving or are just excited for such a unique Halloween event, be sure to mark your calendar for one of the two nights of the Annual Night Of a Thousand Faces event to experience the magic yourself. Happening on Friday, October 25th, and Saturday, October 26th from 6:30 pm until 8 pm at the New England Wildlife Center's Weymouth location, tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the door or on their Eventbrite page.
