    Panthers’ losing streak persists after crushing loss against Commanders, 40-7

    LANDOVER, MARYLAND (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — The Panthers were in Maryland for this Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.

    Panthers are currently on a three-game losing streak, with only one win this season against the Las Vegas Raiders.

    The Panthers started the game with an eight-play drive cut short by a pass interception by Commanders’ Dante Fowler, who went for 67 yards for a touchdown with a successful extra point. In the 11-play drive for the Commanders, they made a 23-yard field goal, putting them ahead of the Panthers 10 to nothing.

    Andy Dalton gets sacked only three plays into the second quarter by former Panther Frankie Luvu. Commanders make another touchdown by Brian Robinson with an extra point. The next drive for the Commanders ends with a 49-yard field goal, but that’s not all. The Commanders’ offense came to play seconds before halftime, securing another touchdown and kick from Austin Seibert.

    Panthers held into the locker room for halftime, down by 27 points and over 100 total yards behind the Commanders.

    As if it could not get worse for the Panthers, in a 10-play drive by the Commanders, Ben Sinnott goes for 3 yards to the end-zone. Following two field goals by Seibert, Commanders lead 37 to nothing.

    Finally, in the final quarter of the game, Chuba Hubbard makes the only touchdown for the Panthers. Despite this, the Panthers fall short in almost everything including total yards, trailing behind by over 200 yards. Before the game’s end, Commanders make yet another field goal.

    Next Sunday, October 27, the Panthers head to Colorado to take on the Denver Broncos, starting at 4:25 p.m.
