NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Southern Illinois University women's soccer team (6-5-5) fell to Belmont, 3-0, on Sunday. In the first half, the Salukis started aggressively, with Marta Forne and Guliana Balistreri both recording early shots on goal. However, Belmont found the back of the net in the 14th minute, taking an early 1-0 lead. Southern Illinois recorded 10 shots and seven shots on goal in the first half but couldn't convert to find an equalizer in the opening 45 minutes.
