Upon arrival, Troopers found a white 1994 Dodge Dakota pickup truck that had hit the side of the home. 31-year-old DeAngelo Polk was driving the Dakota; he was ejected from his vehicle during the crash. First responders got him to Wynn Hospital in Utica where he was pronounced dead, troopers said.<img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=1R8qRo_0wF11SuS00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1R8qRo_0wF11SuS00" width="648" height="365" >A few hundred feet away from the location of the accident, a witness had directed troopers to a red 2021 Dodge Ram, spotting two suspects that were running from that vehicle.Troopers found the pair and placed at least one of them under arrest. 19-year-old Evan Donda, from Camden, was operating the Ram; with him was a 16-year-old passenger who authorities are not naming. According to investigators, Donda was under the influence of alcohol when he failed to stop at a stop sign while travelling eastbound on Peterboro Rd, travelling at "an excessive speed." His Blood Alcohol Content was .09%, according to a breath test.Donda crashed into Polk, causing his Dakota to then crash into the home at the intersection.<img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=4SPvgW_0wF11SuS00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=4SPvgW_0wF11SuS00" width="648" height="365" >During the investigation, troopers said, the original owner of the Ram that Donda was operating arrived on scene. This man told troopers that the truck was his and it had been stolen from a home in Camden overnight.Donda is charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in the 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Driving While Intoxicated on top of multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
