The Golden State Warriors on Sunday locked up one of their prized rotation pieces.

Moses Moody has agreed to a three-year rookie extension worth $39 million, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Warriors drafted Moody with the 14th pick back in 2021. After riding the bench for most of his first two seasons, Moody turned into a valuable contributor for Golden State during the 2023-24 campaign.

In 66 games last season, Moody averaged 8.1 points on 46.2% shooting from the field with 3.0 rebounds over 17.5 minutes per game. Moody was a reliable three-point shooter with a 36.0% mark from beyond the arc on 3.0 attempts per game. The 6’6″ wing also provided Golden State with a valuable three-and-D presence option to pair next to Steph Curry.

There were rumblings last season that Moody was frustrated with Warriors head coach Steve Kerr over his role . But with Klay Thompson no longer in Golden State, Moody could play a much larger role in Kerr’s game plan next season.
