Nightly Lane Closures on California's Busy Interstate 80 for Express Lanes Project

FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Caltrans has announced nightly lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-80 between Air Base Parkway in Fairfield and Leisure Town Road in Vacaville as part of the I-80 Express Lanes project. The closures will take place Monday through Saturday nights, allowing crews to complete paving and striping work.

While various lanes will be closed overnight, at least one lane in each direction will remain open. The paving work is expected to continue through fall 2024, with the entire project set for completion by fall 2025, weather permitting.
